Music lovers - fancy reviewing a gig for Topman?

Do you love live music? Think you'd be a good candidate for a spot of gig reviewing? If you answered yes to both of those questions then Topman wants YOU! We'd love to see what you can do, and in return if you shine out from the other entries we'll send you to a gig. You'll then do a review of the bands you're watching which will go on the blog for all our readers to check out! Up to the job? Send through a 150 word write up from your BEST gig of 2009 so far - it could be anything! Festivals, one off gigs, tours or even your own bands gig...we want to hear from you. DRUM ROLL PLEASE! WINNER OF THE LOGO COMPETITION ANNOUNCED!

We can officially announce that the winner of the first 'design a logo' competition is Bobby Allen with his fantastically simple design shown below:

We picked it for the final 5 due to it's simplicity, the clever design and the color palette. We then put it to the vote and you voted in your thousands! Between the UK and US blogs, Bobby came out on top with a staggering 3,555 votes and the best average score. Runners up were Ronald Smeets and Darrel Moore, who also had great designs.

So what happens now? Well you can expect to see the new logo brandishing the blog shortly, as well as any other communications about it until we launch the 2nd logo competition in the new Season.  We will also be launching the next contribution assignment this week - so keep your eyes peeled for more information!

Thankyou to everyone who has voted for their favourite logo designs in the past two weeks, the response has been amazing (though is making our job even harder picking a winner!) We're going to be announcing the winner of the competition on Monday, so keep your eyes peeled for a fantastic new logo!

We need your help to design the logo which will be use for the TM_Contribute blog. Fancy your chances? Don't hesitate...email us a jpg of your design to contribute@topman.com. It'll be automatically uploaded so that all your fellow contributers can comment.

UPDATE (28th April 2009): 

You have all been sending in your designs and voting for your favourite.  We are closing the competition this Thursday so get any designs in quick to be considered.  See all the entries so far here.

We will be picking our favourite 5 and then we will uploading these to the blog for you to vote...you will have the final say and you alone.  The final design will then be used as the all new tm_contribute logo (until the next logo competition that is!).  Fancy your chances?  Make sure you've entered.  Send your entries to contribute@topman.com now.
